Yes. ClergyID is an operating ministry-based identifier service connected to Therefore Ministries. We exist because many organizations require documentation before they will consider a request.

INSTITUTION DECISIONS (IMPORTANT)

ClergyID does not review, evaluate, approve, authorize, verify, authenticate, or grant access. Institutions make their own decisions and apply their own policies.

ClergyID only maintains a record based on holder-provided information. When contacted, ClergyID can confirm that the holder provided specific details on file (such as name, email, phone, and address) and that an identifier number was issued.

Before you go, contact the facility you plan to visit (hospital, nursing home, rehab/drug facility, psychiatric care, jail, or other restricted setting) and ask what they require for spiritual care visitation. That way you know ahead of time what documentation they will accept and you can avoid wasted trips.

Therefore Ministries and ClergyID do not vet, screen, background-check, verify, authenticate, or certify individuals. Any facility or organization must perform its own vetting and make its own independent decisions regarding access, privileges, or recognition. ClergyID simply documents the holder’s stated ministry identity and calling and is not a substitute for institutional requirements or security procedures.
